Hunter J. Haselrig is an American entrepreneur, media proprietor, and venture builder known for launching and scaling a wide range of businesses driven by bold ideas and long-term vision. Haselrig builds across sectors, creating companies where creativity, culture, and commerce intersect.

He is the founder of Positive Space Media, the core platform through which he develops and powers ventures spanning film and television, advertising, journalism, education, technology, and place-based economic development. Positive Space Media functions as both a creative engine and an operating company, enabling new ideas to become sustainable businesses.

Haselrig’s work is defined by a hands-on, curiosity-driven approach to entrepreneurship. He launches companies, experiments with new models, and backs founder-led ventures with the belief that the best businesses are built by people who are willing to cross disciplines, challenge convention, and learn in public. His portfolio reflects a willingness to start early, build patiently, and evolve ideas over time rather than chase short-term trends.

In addition to Positive Space Media, Haselrig founded 1210 Marketing Group, a creative and marketing firm that helps brands, institutions, and public-sector partners tell clearer stories and build stronger market presence, and Blue Zone Private Capital, an investment platform designed to incubate, acquire, and support independent operating companies with a long-term ownership mindset.

Together, these platforms allow Haselrig to both create and capitalize ideas across multiple industries.

Much like entrepreneurs who build ecosystems rather than single companies, Haselrig views business as a tool for exploration and impact. His ventures often blend media, education, and investment, with an emphasis on creating opportunity, strengthening local economies, and building infrastructure for the next generation of creators and founders. He frequently describes his philosophy simply: ideas are only powerful when they are built.

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and shaped by living across the United States, Haselrig draws inspiration from people, places, and culture. His academic background in marketing, business administration, photojournalism, and film production informs a career that moves fluidly between storytelling and strategy.

Outside of his ventures, Haselrig is a distance runner, skateboarder, and lifelong student of film and music. He remains deeply engaged in photography and documentary filmmaking, using creative work as a way to explore the world and spark new ideas.
